The lovely Emily Lowe of Emmy Lowe Photo and I are starting a flower of the month shoot to show different ways to use florals, and textures! Her photos inspire me all the time and always convey my creativity perfectly, I'm so excited to work with her on this! I get of a lot of inspiration from being outside and noticing what naturally surrounds me. September is the month of sunflowers, they've begun to spring up everywhere, lining canyon roads and streets. I recently came across some beautiful rocks at the avenues street market, I couldn't pass them up! When I was little I was always fascinated with geodes, how something so plain and ordinary on the outside could be so intricate and amazing on the inside, I would ask my grandpa to break open rocks that I had found in hopes of finding a geode inside. Rocks add the perfect touch of dimension, character and interest! The crab apple branches were something that caught my eye as I was getting out of my car to go to work one day, and was able to harvest them at their peak of perfection!
